Windows 11 with AI-powered features brings smarter tools, including Copilot Vision, Click to Do, and enhanced Paint and Photos apps.
Microsoft has considerably improved Windows 11 with the addition of a variety of AI-driven features that aim to enrich user experience, productivity, and creativity. The new additions are part of a larger effort aimed at making Windows smarter and more intelligent, with features that react to natural language and change according to users’ needs.
One of the high points in this release is Copilot Vision, which enables users to control what’s on their screen with AI. Editing a photo, reading a document, or surfing the web is all fair game, and Copilot can read what’s on your screen and give you suggestions or take action for you.
The Snipping Tool becomes even more intelligent with features such as Perfect Screenshot and a Color Picker, making it simpler to capture and manipulate visual material.
AI Capabilities Designed for Copilot+ PCs
Although most features are accessible to everyone using Windows 11, Microsoft has saved its most sophisticated AI capabilities for Copilot+ PCs—machines running powerful NPUs from Snapdragon, AMD, or Intel. Copilot+ PCs open up features such as the Settings Agent, which enables people to control system settings through natural language input.
Another groundbreaking utility, Click to Do, enables users to hold down the Windows key and click on content to activate AI-driven actions like summarizing text, writing documents, or setting meeting agendas. The Paint application also gets a creative kick with the inclusion of features such as Sticker Generator, which converts text inputs into personalized stickers, and Object Select, which facilitates exact image editing with AI support.
Privacy-First AI Architecture
Microsoft has prioritized security and privacy in its AI deployment by making sure the majority of AI workloads run locally on the device. On-device AI processing reduces the need for cloud services and keeps user data private.

One especially compelling capability is Recall, now in beta, which enables people to browse through their past activity based on snapshots of their digital past. Those snapshots are locally stored and encrypted, and enterprise-class controls are offered for IT admins. This design not only adds capability but also fosters trust by empowering people with control over their information.
Opening AI capabilities Across Devices
In the future, Microsoft intends to make more of these AI capabilities available by adding support for additional hardware platforms. AMD’s new Ryzen 5 AI 330 processor will bring Copilot+ capabilities to less expensive laptops, extending advanced AI tools to a broader marketplace.
