More than one million web links and URLs blocked in Pakistan for spreading digital content against religion, state and morality.
According to the details, the highest number of blockings were done for sharing illegal and inappropriate content on Facebook and TikTok. The PTA checked and reported 2,29,000 links to Facebook, of which 1,97,000 were blocked.
On Instagram, 43,000 URLs were checked, 38,000 were closed, while the blocking rate was 87%. More than 174,000 links of illegal content of TikTok were checked.
Links to more than 163,000 TikTok videos were blocked.
The most severe crackdown was on TikTok, with 94% of content blocked. 72,000 links were checked on YouTube, more than 64,000 links were blocked.

More than 112,000 links of X were checked and 70,800 links were blocked. The lowest blocking rate on X, only 62% of content could be blocked.
Of the 8,98,000 links on various other platforms, 8,91,000 links were blocked. More than 1.4 million links and URLs were blocked for contempt of court, obscenity, anti-religion, proxy and hateful content. Content against abstinence and morality remained at the top, with more than 1.61 million links blocked.
1,48,000 links were blocked against the state and defence of Pakistan. More than 109,000 links were blocked for anti-religious content. 76,000 links on communal and hateful content have been blocked. The blocking rate on content related to defamation and fake identity was the lowest.
