In a bid to enhance regional tech partnerships, Saudi Arabia has officially launched the GO AI Hub in Pakistan, a pioneering project set to drive artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and talent development in South Asia. The launching event in October 2025 saw the fruits of a strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia’s GO Telecommunications Group and the Government of Pakistan, closely aligning with Pakistan’s national vision of digital transformation.
What Is the GO AI Hub in Pakistan?
The GO AI Hub Pakistan will be a hub that can act as a focal point for research, development, and deployment of AI, with its core focus on knowledge sharing, technical training, and joint creation of data-driven solutions. It will allow Saudi and Pakistani technology specialists, startups, and educational institutions to collaborate and drive innovation in areas like healthcare, agriculture, education, and cybersecurity.
This project aligns with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s “Digital Nation Vision Pakistan,” which seeks to make Pakistan a regional hub in emerging technologies and digital services.

In a high-level meeting in Riyadh, Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and GO Group leaders charted the hub’s strategic objectives:
- Establish sovereign cybersecurity frameworks specific to Pakistan’s requirements.
- Scale up regional connectivity and cloud infrastructure.
- Encourage the adoption of AI in public sectors and private businesses.
- Try to train one million people to serve Pakistan’s expanding digital landscape.
GO AI Hub will also be instrumental in the adoption of Pakistan’s National AI Policy to achieve a 12% GDP increase and the generation of one million tech jobs by 2030.
Launch Timeline and Future Outlook
The formal inauguration ceremony was conducted in October 2025 with the attendance of high-ranking government officials, technology leaders, and global stakeholders. The hub is going to start operations instantly, with pilot programs and training modules coming on board in early 2026.
