Samsung is rolling out its One UI 8 update, bringing Android 16 to a wide range of Galaxy devices. This update focuses on refining the user experience with smoother animations, smarter multitasking, and enhanced privacy controls. Whether you’re using a flagship phone or a mid-range model, One UI 8 is designed to deliver a more responsive and personalized interface.

Galaxy S Series: Full Coverage from S22 to S25

The One UI 8 update is confirmed for the entire Galaxy S25 lineup, including the S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, and S25 FE. Samsung is also extending support to previous generations like the S24 and S23 series, including their Fan Edition models. Even the Galaxy S22 series remains eligible, showing Samsung’s commitment to long-term software support for its premium devices.

Foldables Get Smarter with One UI 8

Samsung’s foldable phones are a major focus for One UI 8. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 will ship with the update pre-installed, while the Fold 6, Flip 6, and earlier models like the Fold 5 and Flip 5 are also on the list. One UI 8 introduces better app continuity, improved Flex Mode features, and optimized gestures for foldable screens, making multitasking more intuitive than ever.

Galaxy Tab Series: Productivity Meets Performance

Tablet users aren’t left behind. The Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra will launch with One UI 8, while the Tab S10, S9, and S8 series, including FE and Lite variants, are all eligible for the update. Expect better split-screen handling, enhanced stylus support, and smoother transitions between apps, especially for users who rely on their tablets for work and creativity.

Mid-Range Galaxy A Series Also Gets the Upgrade

Samsung is extending One UI 8 to a wide range of Galaxy A series devices. This includes popular models like the A56, A55, A54, A53, A36, A35, A34, and A33—all in their 5G variants. Even entry-level phones like the A25, A17, A16, and A15 are included. The update brings a cleaner interface, improved battery optimization, and better camera controls to these budget-friendly devices.

Why This Update Matters

One UI 8 isn’t just about visual polish, it’s about making Samsung devices more efficient, secure, and user-friendly. With Android 16 at its core, the update introduces granular permission controls, adaptive battery usage, and deeper AI integration. Samsung is clearly prioritizing consistency across its ecosystem, ensuring that users from all tiers get a unified experience.
