iOS 26 Beta 7 refines UI, boosts battery life, and adds Liquid Glass. A smoother, smarter experience for testers ahead of the final release

Apple has officially rolled out iOS 26 Beta 7, and it’s clear the tech giant is polishing its next major release with precision. This update focuses on stability and performance, but it also introduces subtle yet impactful enhancements. The standout feature is the Adaptive Power Mode, which intelligently manages battery usage based on your activity, available exclusively on newer iPhones like the 15 Pro and beyond. The Liquid Glass UI further improves, presenting itself in a clearer, more fluid style throughout system apps.

Apple has also streamlined the Camera app by setting “Classic Mode” as default and introducing seven new ringtones, such as the delightful Little Bird.

How to Get iOS 26 Beta 6 on Your Device?

If you’re not ready to dive into Beta 7 or want to try the older version, you can still download iOS 26 Beta 6. To install it, all you need to do is sign up for Apple’s Developer Program through the Apple Developer App, then go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and tap the developer beta.

Beta 6 brought with it some great new features like quicker app animations, better Liquid Glass effects, and Live Translation on AirPods Pro 2, which should roll out fully in the coming weeks. Just be sure to back up your phone before installing beta software.

Is iOS 18 Beta 7 Still Applicable?

While iOS 26 is hogging the limelight, iOS 18 Beta 7 continues to create ripples among users who haven’t yet upgraded their devices. Brought out in August 2024, it added improvements to the Control Center, Safari, and iCloud settings, along with enhanced support for RCS messaging. It’s one of the most stable beta builds Apple has offered so far, making it a good option for users of older iPhones. But with iOS 26 providing a more futuristic experience, particularly with Apple Intelligence features and visual search—it may be time to think about taking the plunge if your device can accommodate it.

Should You Upgrade or Not?

Whether you’re dipping your toes in with iOS 18 or plunging headfirst into the future of iOS 26, Apple’s beta season has something for all. iOS 26 is decidedly for the future, with smarter, more immersive features and an interface that’s been transformed. If you’ve got a compatible device and like being on the bleeding edge of technology, Beta 7 is worth checking out. Just be aware: beta software is unpredictable, so approach with caution—and curiosity.
