World’s first permanent Pokémon Theme Park opens in February 2026

The world’s very first permanent Pokémon theme park will open its gates on February 5, 2026, within Yomiuriland amusement park in the Tama Hills of Tokyo. Christened PokéPark KANTO, this is going to be a groundbreaker that will transport fans right into the Pokémon universe with experiences way beyond the realm of conventional theme parks.

Immersive Attractions and Experiences

Several themed zones will be created within PokéPark KANTO to bring the Pokémon world to life. The Pokémon Forest is a 500-meter walking trail where Pokémon will appear in natural habitats such as tall grass, rocky paths, and tunnels. In Sedge Town, guests will find a Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, Gym, and Battle Court, alongside parades, shows, and meet-and-greets with beloved characters. At the entrance, the Starter Pokémon Plaza will welcome fans with statues of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

Entertainment and Merchandise

It will also serve as a shopping and dining facility with souvenirs available only in the park and themed food stalls. Electric Pikachu will also headline an “Electric Pokémon” performance to spice up the various live shows. Fans will also get a chance to buy limited-edition goods at the Trainers’ Market for a memory they can collect with each visit.

Ticketing and Access

Tickets will be available from November 21, 2025. Visitors can get either a Trainer’s Pass or an Ace Trainer’s Pass; both include entrance into Yomiuriland. Some attractions and shows will require tickets separately, so it all depends on what the guest wants.
